Five-Minute Friday: Turn

Updated: Jul 21, 2020

Do you ever feel like you have hit a wall in your life? As in full-speed-ahead-the-breaks-aren’t-working-and-there’s-no-stopping-the-impact-that-is-about-to-occur wall?

~Maybe you have worked yourself to-the-bone on a project, only to fall flat on the result you had desired

~Or, perhaps, you have come to a “fork-in-the-road” with your career, left without guidance as to a next “move”

~Maybe a stretch of depression has left you feeling deflated and unsure of life in general

~Or you’ve poured your heart-and-soul into training for a sporting event, only to fall short of participating because of an unexpected injury

Life is full of curveballs. The unexpected. Unanticipated. Miracles and tragedies. Blessings and shortcomings. Smooth-sailing and wall-impacting. So, when we experience one of those moments when a wall enters into our peaceful, even-ground path, we should remember that our journey does not have to suddenly end. Giving up is not our only option. No, sweet friends. There’s more to life than that…

Taking a moment and figuring how to climb over it. Or, if you are feeling a bit locomotive-ish, barreling through it. And sometimes, the very best option may simply be to work around it. To make a turn, a detour, which with just an ounce of faith, could flood our path with blessings greater than we could ever imagine.
