Dear Pandemic Mama, You are Enough

Some of us will never make it big.

Some of us will never have anything go viral.

Some of us may never be truly known by more than a few. Some of us will never have a single plaque or trophy on our shelves.

Some of us will never win anything more than the love of family. Some of us will feel like we live a life of invisibility.

Some of us will never have our name in lights.

Some of us will never desire fame.

And when we don't make it "big"...

...when we aren't ordained with countless

awards...

...when we don't seek the world's glitzy

spotlight...

...it can leave us feeling unnoticed.

Invisible.

Unseen.

Lost.

Forgotten.

Without purpose.

But, God?

When it seems like the rest of the world is constantly noticing “her” and “her” achievements, guess Who has never for once stopped noticing you? Guess Who has never for once taken His eyes from YOU?

The same One Who pieced you together, from mere dust.

Fiber-by-fiber.

Hair-by-hair.

You don’t need a spotlight to be noticed by God. You never have, and you never will.

Our Father?

He embraces the humble above all.

God craves humbleness.

God craves the lowly.

God craves those Who don’t pridefully

seek worldly attention.

Because that trophy on her shelf?

Is no match for the greatest reward yet to come. And certainly will not follow her to where the greatest reward of all, will be received.

Quiet, kingdom workers, you are noticed.

Never, for once, has He taken His eyes off you.

The glitz and glamour of the world are absolutely no match for the reward He has waiting for you at Heaven's gates.

"God resists the proud, but God gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6)

"Clothe yourselves with humility." (1 Peter 5:5)

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5)

"Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life." (Proverbs 22:4)
